The empty fridges of the future: where will tomorrow's food come from?

The world’s population is growing all the time - in fact, the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation reckons that by the year 2050 we’ll need to be producing 60% more food than we do now to make sure no one goes hungry. So where does that leave animals that are killed to make sure we get fed?
